gossip: Config

The gossip beneath: its fanout, rounds and window.

store_probability: f64

How likely a process is to keep a copy for answering requests.

The book’s α is one minus this. Named for what it does; see the module note. At 1.0 every process stores everything, which is the certain and expensive case the book describes as α = 0.

request_rounds: u32

R for a request — how far a request is relayed before it is abandoned.

gap_timeout: Duration

Δ — how long to wait for a gap before giving up on it.

window: usize

How many messages to keep in stored and pending, per sender.
